As designers and developers, we are very sensitive to the topic of technology in relation to the change in our habits.
We spend practically all day in front of a monitor, whether it's that of a computer or that of a smartphone. We can't help but include ourselves in that group that makes assiduous use of technological devices even if we are aware of how important it is to spend some time offline.
Designers and developers aside, we found out that:
A European citizen spends an average of over 2,000 hours a year in front of a screen.
That's a really big number of hours, especially when you consider that an Olympic athlete spends about 1,900 hours training for a gold medal.
Certainly technology helps us learn, work better (in our case, it's at the heart of every project), play sports and feel closer to the people we love.
However, we all know that every day we waste an immense amount of time absent-mindedly watching video after video and following strangers posting mediocre content trying to catch the latest trend.
